Wedding Invitations : Strawberry Blonde Wedding Photography : Wedding Photographer in Augusta Georgia & Columbia South Carolina

I LOVE opening a wedding invitation that I get in the mail. Maybe it's because I studied graphic design in college. I love the smell of freshly printed paper and the look of perfectly placed typography on a page.
When it came time for me to pick out my wedding invitations, I looked everywhere. I couldn't decide if I wanted to use my engagement photos or if I wanted to purchase a bulk pack and print them myself. After scouring the internet, I found so many different elements that I wanted to incorporate into my invitations, but couldn't find the right one to purchase. I decided to create them myself. And BOY was it a lot of work.

My wedding had a vintage theme. I bought gray and ivory damask print pearl card stock at Joann's. I created a design and monogram myself and took them to a printer. The printer cut down the invitations and response cards to the correct size. I used a rounded corner punch on the edges. I ordered my envelopes and response card paper from envelopper online. We ordered silver boxes online to mail the invitations and created a cushion with fabric from Joann's for the invitation to sit on. My brooch buttons came from ebay and we used a ribbon from Joann's. It was A LOT of work, but so worth it.

That was only 10 months ago and wedding invitations have gotten so much easier. Just browse through pinterest and etsy for great inspiration.

Check out these beauties from an Etsy shop:

I love the flower and the typography!

I love these response cards:

Or browse on pinterest and you will find:

Wow isn't that packages amazing?

And of course I love the idea of using your engagement photos in the invites!

Browsing through all of these invites makes me want to throw a party!! :-)

Hope you're as inspired as me.
